Description :

TECHNOBIT HOT APPLIED CRACK SEALANT crack filler is an economical, single component, hot-applied sealant used for sealing cracks in Portland cement concrete’s and asphalt pavements.

Uses :

• Is applicable for Use in moderate to hot climates with low and high pavement temperatures identified in the chart.
• Is primarily designed for the sealing of cracks in asphaltic pavements. The product can be used in concrete joints as well.
• Is used in highway, street, airfield and parking lot pavements and is applied to pavement cracks using either pressure feed melter applicators or pour pots.

Method of Application :

• Surface / Joint Preparation

– The joints and cracks to be sealed must be clean and dry. Dust, dirt, and laitance should be removed immediately

• Sealant Application

– Before sealant application, procedures under Surface and Joint Preparation section should be followed.

– TECHNOBIT HOT APPLIED CRACK SEALANT Shall be heated in appropriate double jacketed kettle with automatic heat controlling device to avoid overheating.

– Heat the product to maximum tempreture of 200 ºC.

– Make sure the application equipment must be capable of flattening ahead of sealant over the prepared crack if it has been over filled.

– Cracks with greater than 30 mm width shall not be sealed.

– Leave the sealed surface to cool down for 1 hour before opening to traffic.

Health & Safety : 

As with all chemical products, care should be taken during use and storage to avoid contactwith foodstuffs, skin, eyes and mouth. If accidentally ingested, immediately seek prompt medical attention. Do not induce vomiting and give copious amounts of water to drink.
Keep away from children and animals. Reseal containers after use. Always wear protective clothing and eye protection.

Packing :

TECHNOBIT HOT APPLIED CRACK SEALANT is packaged in ( 20 KG ) Metal pails, ( 170L, 200L ) drums and 25 kgs Card Board Boxes .

Storage :

• Varies with product and climatic conditions but is usually in excess of 12 months.
• Keep out of direct sunlight.
